Northern Health is seeking an experienced Laboratory Clerk for the Fort St. John facility. You will support the Laboratory department through data entry, specimen accessioning, and clerical duties under supervision.

The role involves handling specimens, verifying orders, and performing receptionist tasks such as answering calls and filing, contributing to efficient laboratory operations in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and two years of recent related experience or equivalent
• Proficient communication in writing and speaking
• Ability to operate related equipment and manage physical duties
• Ability to organize work and maintain accuracy in data entry
• Typing speed of 45 words per minute

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry for laboratory processes
• Receive, sort and verify specimens against requisitions and physicians' orders
• Accession specimens into the system
• Provide clerical and receptionist support (answering phones, filing)
