Job summary

Dynacare in Brampton, Ontario is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our specimen processing team and ensure timely, accurate handling of specimens and entries. The role supports quality controls and downstream clinical workflows.

As a permanent full-time position, you will work a Monday–Friday schedule with potential weekend rotation and start ASAP. This role offers opportunities within a leading health and wellness company with a focus on accuracy and patient impact.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary-school level education and a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant training program.
• Experience providing exceptional, professional customer focused service in a demanding and frequently changing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to self-manage, prioritize and collaborate in a team-oriented, high volume, time-sensitive environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) at an intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Follows established protocol(s) in Specimen Processing.
• Ensures that all samples are properly identified, data enter, and labeled.
• Follows established protocol(s) for the handling of unsuitable samples.
• Ensures all client inquiries and problems are handled in a courteous and professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

We’re looking for a Specimen Processing Laboratory Assistant's to join our team in Brampton, Ontario. As a Lab Assistant you will be responsible for processing of laboratory specimens and/or entering requisitions and/or results accurately and in a timely manner and ensure quality control checks and standards are run as required. Your contributions will make a difference and will greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving someone’s life.

Status-Permanent Fulltime

Shift-Monday to Friday 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM; Rotational Saturday or Sunday 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM

What YOU Bring To The Role

• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and ability to apply that knowledge in troubleshooting issues and providing recommendations for solutions

Working Conditions

• Normal office environment
• Medical laboratory environment
• Required walking with repetitive motions
• May sit or stand for prolonged period of time with extensive computer use
• Required to lift a maximum of 30 pounds as required
• Exposed to biohazardous substances, temperature differences and noise variances

Pay rate:

$19.75–$23.50

The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to level of experience and education requirements.
