Responsibilities

• Prepares daily samples for inspection.
• Sorts and files all required documents and samples.
• Records results in logbook and maintains record of samples and data logs.
• Maintains cleanliness of the lab including equipment, floors and counters.
• May assist with receiving, sorting and distributing grain samples.
• Perform routine testing of malt germinations, falling number of wheat and rye, and immunoassay of mycotoxins.

Lab Assistant

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine testing of grain samples.

What You’ll Do

• Prepares daily samples for inspection.
• Sorts and files all required documents and samples.
• Records results in logbook and maintains record of samples and data logs.
• Maintains cleanliness of the lab including equipment, floors and counters.
• May assist with receiving, sorting and distributing grain samples.
• Perform routine testing of malt germinations, falling number of wheat and rye, and immunoassay of mycotoxins, protein, sizing, and test weights of malt barley.
