Job summary

Charles River Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Veterinary Technician in Sherbrooke, QC. You will be responsible for the well-being of laboratory animals and the integrity of pre-clinical studies, under veterinary supervision. The role offers full-time hours and overtime premiums.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a college diploma in Animal Health, Bioecology or related field.
• Work experience in a similar position is an asset.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 20 kg and stand for long periods.
• Strong observation and organization skills required.
• Good time management and ability to adapt quickly to changes.
• Written English is mandatory; bilingual French and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and follow the health status of animals under veterinary supervision.
• Work with veterinarians to prepare and implement treatment plans.
• Perform medical treatments, interventions, and diagnostic tests.
• Identify potential animal welfare issues and propose solutions.
