Position Overview

We are seeking a legal professional with law firm experience with an interest in HR and Recruiting to join our team as a Legal Recruiting Consultant . This role is a 13month maternity leave contract with the potential to become permanent depending on company performance and other factors. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your legal experience while expanding your HR and recruiting expertise.

Note : Torontobased candidates must be available to work hours aligned with Pacific Standard Time (PST).

As a Recruiter at Arlyn Recruiting you will play a key role in supporting recruitment activities and collaborating with senior team members. You will utilize our industryleading Applicant Tracking System (ATS) AI tools and other technologies to enhance efficiency. Your responsibilities will include sourcing processing and evaluating candidates conducting interviews managing job postings and contributing to the success of our recruiting projects.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Management :

  • Support and manage the endtoend recruitment process in collaboration with senior recruiters.

Recruiting Procedures and Strategies :

  • Follow and enhance fundamental recruiting workflows and procedures.
  • Continuously review and refine recruitment strategies to improve outcomes.

ATS Management :

  • Utilize ATS features to build and maintain relationships with candidates and clients.
  • Process and evaluate incoming candidates ensuring accurate and current records.

Candidate Communication and Assessment :

  • Implement a structured communication plan throughout the recruitment process.
  • Conduct interviews evaluations and provide feedback to candidates.
  • Present qualified candidates to senior recruiters and when necessary to clients.

Job Order Management :

  • Maintain uptodate records for all open job orders.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement job marketing strategies.
  • Source talent using job boards LinkedIn and other tools to identify both active and passive candidates.
  • Craft clear and engaging job postings.
  • Ensure successful job placements in collaboration with senior recruiters.

Qualifications

  • Location : Must be based in Vancouver or Toronto with occasional office visits.
  • Education : Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field .
  • Experience :

25 years of HR and recruiting experience in a recruiting agency or law firm .

  • Previous experience as a legal professional is an asset.
  • Technical Skills :

Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment software.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (O365 .
  • Comfortable using AI tools to improve efficiency.
  • Soft Skills :

Excellent communication emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Detailoriented and resultsdriven with a focus on quality professional relationships.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset able to thrive in competitive and fastpaced environments.
  • Base Salary : $60000 per year monthly commissions .
  • Commission Structure :

2.5 commission on each placement worked on.

  • Increases to 5 after the third month.
  • Annual commission potential : $12000 $30000 per year depending on success.
  • Vacation : 2 weeks per year.
  • Paid Birthday Off : Enjoy a paid day off on your birthday.
  • Remote Work : 100 workfromhome with occasional office meetings.
  • Monthly Stipend : $50 for phone and home internet service.
