Responsibilities
  • Configuration and administration of routers, switches, firewalls and Linux servers.
  • Designing the network topologies, creating and maintaining Visio / Lucidchart diagrams, configuration templates, IP addressing (NetBox IPAM) and low-level design documents that contain all the switching/routing details, migration steps, bandwidth analysis and security policy controls.
  • Write and implement scripts to automate tasks in Linux (Python/Bash/PHP).
  • Manage various virtualization environments (Proxmox, Xen, ESXi).
  • Utilize network monitoring tools to pinpoint issues and bottlenecks in the network and take the necessary steps to rectify them.
  • Collaborate with various internal groups and business units to understand the applications and provide end-to-end network solutions as per the firm's network standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues from L2 to L4 of the OSI layer in the network.
  • Configure and route multicast traffic across the network (PIM, IGMP).
  • Build, install and mount servers and network equipment in the DataCenter.
  • Troubleshoot server hardware and fine-tune Linux OS settings to achieve required performance.
  • Provide breakdown of issues to NOC to enable them to understand and explain problems to clients.
Qualifications
  • Expert in classless and classful IPv4 address designing, deploying and management.
  • In-depth knowledge on Routing, Switching and Network Security with broad industry experience (OSPF, BGP, PIM) on Cisco; Brocade is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience with designing and implementing large enterprise network environments and Linux system administration. CCNP or equivalent or higher industry certification preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst 6500 platform, Nexus (5K,9K) switches and Cisco ASA/PFsense firewalls.
  • Thorough understanding of TCP/IP protocol family and network security technologies.
  • Designed and built a multi-tier DMZ Network with micro and macro segmentation.
  • Experience in migrating large scale datacenters and providing support for application migrations.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member is essential.
  • Strong presentation skills to explain network design, articulate risks and facilitate decision making.
  • Experience in network data analysis with tools such as Wireshark, TCPDump.
  • Experience in performing administrative tasks on Linux Servers (CentOS and Ubuntu).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco and Brocade network equipment.
  • Experienced in configuring multicast nodes and routing multicast traffic across the network.
  • Hands-on experience with PFsense firewall.
  • Thorough knowledge of server-level operations and software principles utilizing Linux CLI.
  • Hands-on experience in building, operating and troubleshooting virtual private servers (VPS).
  • Able to work extra hours if and when required (Maintenance activities and emergencies).
Nice to Have
  • Basic knowledge of any scripting languages (Python or Perl or shell).
  • CompTIA Linux +, CCIE RS.
Testing Requirement

In-person timed "IPv4 fundamentals" test will be conducted prior to the interview; passing the test with 80% or above is required to proceed to the interview stage.
