Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Status: Temporary Full- Time (Up to 2 Years, contingent upon funding)

Closing Date: June 20, 2025

Position Summary

The Knowledge Mobilization (KM) Lead plays a key role in translating complex system change concepts and program information into clear, accessible formats for a wide range of stakeholders. This position supports the implementation and communication of the NORC model and advances the mission of the NORC Innovation Centre. This is a hybrid role, with weekly in-office meetings and occasional off-site presentations required.

Duties

Product Development

  • Lead the refinement, structuring, and rollout of the NORC Implementation Toolkit, ensuring it is accessible, actionable, and aligned with user needs
  • Develop and facilitate a community of practice to support the spread of the UHN NORC Program model
  • Oversee the redevelopment of NIC’s website, working with a web development firm to shape content and structure that reflect its role as a centre for learning and innovation
  • Develop engaging, accessible materials (e.g., guides, presentations, brochures) tailored to diverse stakeholders such as government, housing partners, community agencies, and older adults


Knowledge Exchange & Capacity Building

  • Work with the NIC team to deliver training initiatives that build NORC program implementation capacity—including communities of practice, workshops, and webinars
  • Apply adult learning principles, develop training content, and use facilitation techniques to engage a range of audiences
  • Maintain a centralized repository of practical resources, tools, and lessons learned


Communications

  • Develop audience-specific messaging across stakeholder groups, ensuring clarity, consistency, and relevance
  • Support engagement through social media, website, and newsletter content
  • Create written and visual content that highlights NIC’s work and impact in communities
  • Identify and help coordinate speaking opportunities for NIC team
  • Work with UHN Communications on media requests and external engagement


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years experience in knowledge mobilization or a related role
  • A proven track record in knowledge mobilization across multiple sectors (health, policy, community)
  • Experience managing complex projects (e.g., toolkits, website redesigns, capacity-building programs)
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement experience, particularly in multi-stakeholder environments
  • Knowledge of Ontario’s health system and policy context
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering adult learning initiatives (e.g., workshops, training programs, communities of practice)
  • Ability to produce accessible knowledge and communications products (e.g., toolkits, infographics, plain-language guides, photos)
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with digital engagement tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Mighty Networks, WordPress)
  • Experience designing and implementing evaluation strategies to measure KM impact
