Job Summary:

The Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI), powered by Baycrest, is at the forefront of driving innovation in aging and brain health. Guided by our vision of a world where every older person lives with purpose, fulfillment, and dignity, we work to drive the development and adoption of transformative aging and brain health innovations.

We’ve supported more than 400 solutions that help older adults, including those impacted by dementia, live healthier, more meaningful lives. We accelerate innovation adoption by connecting innovators with those who will benefit most from their solutions: older adults, caregivers, clinicians, and system partners. At CABHI, we’re building a future where aging is shaped by lived experience, powered by innovation, and driven by system-wide collaboration.

CABHI is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Knowledge Broker to support its end-user engagement and knowledge mobilization activities. This role focuses on gathering insights from older adults (50+), caregivers, and clinicians through surveys, focus groups, and co-design sessions, and transforming these insights into actionable knowledge products.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver surveys, focus groups, and co-design sessions with older adults, caregivers, clinicians, and other diverse stakeholders to gather high-quality qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Adapt engagement/communication approaches to ensure relevant data is collected using the most appropriate methods.
  • Facilitate both online and in-person meetings, ensuring respectful, engaging, and productive dialogue.
Knowledge Product Development:
  • Translate complex findings from multiple data sources into clear, coherent themes and compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Design and produce a variety of knowledge products by analyzing and synthesizing data into impactful formats (e.g., reports, infographics, blog posts, videos).
  • Collaborate with graphic designers and the Knowledge Mobilization, Marketing, and Communications teams to ensure accessible and visually compelling products.
  • Co-create knowledge products with community and system partners, as needed.
Strategic Collaboration & Dissemination:
  • Coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups and manage project lifecycles to ensure projects are completed and disseminated on time and on target.
  • Support the dissemination of knowledge products through newsletters, social media, events, conferences, and partner networks.
  • Build and maintain external relationships to ensure strategic alignment, enhance engagement efforts, and promote uptake of knowledge products.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure insights are implemented across the organization’s strategy and operations.
Process Improvement & Evaluation:
  • Identify opportunities to improve CABHI’s end-user engagement processes and approaches.
  • Contribute to organizational monitoring and evaluation activities, including identifying gaps and developing measures to effectively assess outreach, engagement quality, and the impact of knowledge mobilization efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in a health-related, social science, or communications discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in knowledge mobilization, community-based research, market research, or patient/public engagement.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with experience conducting surveys, focus groups, interviews, or usability testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage diverse populations respectfully and effectively.
  • Experience synthesizing qualitative and/or quantitative data into actionable insights and audience-specific knowledge products.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, engaging content for a range of audiences.
  • Ability to enhance written content with visually compelling graphics, layouts, and design elements to maximize clarity and impact.
  • Strong project management skills, including coordination across teams, managing timelines, and meeting deliverables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfortable with design tools (e.g., Canva), survey platforms, and collaboration tools.
  • Experience working in or with healthcare, public health, or innovation environments preferred.
  • Fluency in French is a strong asset.
  • Flexible, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Additional Benefits:
  • Opportunity to enroll in Extended Health & Dental Benefits.
