Job summary

St. Albert Public Schools in Alberta invites applications for a Full Time, Temporary Educational Assistant 1 (EA1) at Kinosayo Elementary School.

The role supports students with diverse learning needs and contributes to inclusive education in a dynamic school community. The successful candidate will have PBS experience, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and the ability to supervise and support behavioral goals under the CUPE collective agreement.

St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting aFull Time, Temporary Educational Assistant 1 (EA1) for a work assignment at Kinosayo Elementary School.

More than 9000 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools. From Preschool to Grade 12, our students learn and succeed in programs that are recognized for excellence and their focus on citizenship and sound values.

Hours of Work : 30.0hrs. /week; 6.0 hrs. /day; Monday-Friday; Full Time, Temporary

Hourly Rate $25.89 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement

Expected End Date: June 29, 2027

Specific Needs/Requirements for this position:

• Proven experience implementing Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies
• Verbal Intervention Training is considered an asset
• Formal post-secondary education in a related field is preferred
• Experience using assistive technology to support student learning is an asset
• Strong skills in managing student behavior effectively and respectfully
• Experience collaborating as part of a multi-disciplinary team is an asset
• Demonstrated experience working with students with complex learning and behavioral needs
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience supporting students in Division 1 and Division 2
• Supervision duties will also be required
