We’re hiring! dancED is currently seeking dance instructors to join our team for the 2025/26 school year. Daytime hours.

About dancED:
dancED is a dance education company dedicated to fostering joy, growth, and connection among students in Kindergarten to Grade 8 in Ontario and Alberta. Our in-school artist-in-residence programs deliver high-caliber dance instruction to enrich school environments and build strong communities. Through innovative teaching methods and our collaborative team-teaching approach, we make dance accessible to every child, regardless of experience or ability, and aim to inspire young learners to unleash their creative potential.

Job Description:
We are looking to hire 2-3 qualified individuals to join our team in the Guelph/Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas.
Part-time and seasonal contracts are available, with flexibility throughout the year.

Applicants must have weekday availability (during school hours, approximately 8:30 am - 3:30 pm daily).

Training will commence in the coming months, with school residencies beginning as early as October and continuing through to the end of June.

Contract details:
- 35 hours per week
- Contracts can vary between 5 consecutive days to 3 weeks (school days), with options to book more

Qualifications:
- Professional dance training (a bachelor’s degree in dance or equivalent training is a strong asset).
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching dance to children or adolescents.
- Proficiency in multiple dance styles, if possible.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt choreography quickly.
- Highly energetic with a strong work ethic.
- Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a team-teaching format.
