The Position

The Kitchen Utility Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in the kitchen. Responsibilities include dishwashing, maintaining cleanliness of back-of-house areas, and supporting health and safety standards. This role is ideal for those seeking to start a career in hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Load/unload dishes, glassware, and cutlery into cleaning machines and store clean items
• Maintain cleanliness of storage, kitchen, utilities, halls, bars, and other service areas
• Remove food from dishes and manage dirty dishes on conveyor belts
• Machine wash floors, mop, and power wash garbage areas
• Steam clean and scrub tile surfaces
• Handle garbage and cardboard waste, including loading and compacting
• Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations including those from AGCO, Provincial, and Casino Rama
• Foster positive employee relations and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience in Kitchen Services and knowledge of cleaning equipment/chemicals preferred but not required
• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs repeatedly
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist for extended periods and work in heat, chemicals, noise, steam, and slippery conditions
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• French language skills are an asset
• Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and policies
