Kitchen Story is looking for a F/T Chef.

Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

Wage: $22.50~$25.00/hour (depending on experience)

Number of Positions: 1

Work Location: #102 – 2945 Jacklin Road, Victoria, BC V9B 5E3

Benefits: 10 days paid vacation per year or 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

1. Plan menus and guarantee that the food complies with high-quality standards
2. Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
3. Oversee cooks and other kitchen staff
4. Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to the cooking staff
5. Provide guidance to cooks on how to prepare, cook, garnish, and present food
6. Make assessments of food needs and calculate the costs for both food and labor

Job Requirements:

1. Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience are required
2. Education: Completion of secondary school is required
