Job description

Join to apply for the Kitchen Production Associate role at T & T Supermarket.

Reporting to the Kitchen Production Supervisor, this position supports the production of assigned products (BBQ, Sushi, and other cooked foods) based on orders received, while controlling quality, freshness, inventory, and wastage.

About T & T Supermarket: Founded in 1993 in BC, it is now Canada's largest Asian supermarket chain with 36 stores across the country, including BC, Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec. The company plans further expansion in the coming years.

Responsibilities:
  • Produce the correct quantity of products (BBQ, Sushi, or other cooked foods) based on orders.
  • Perform production duties such as preparing perishable food items, rice cooking, cutting vegetables, meats, fish, stir-frying, deep frying, and pan frying.
  • Control product quality, freshness, inventory levels, and wastage.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, equipment, and tools, and ensure workplace safety.
  • Assist in customer inquiries.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices for food safety and safe work procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Experience and knowledge in cooking Kitchen products (BBQ, Sushi, or other cooked foods).
  • Knowledge of workplace health & safety and food safety (Food Safe Certification preferred).
  • Understanding of relevant tools and equipment.
  • Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with flexibility to work various shifts, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, mornings, and evenings.
