Salary: $18.00 hourly
Hours: 32 to 35 hours per week

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Responsibilities

Tasks:

1. Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables
2. Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units
3. Load bus pans and trays
4. Scour pots and pans
5. Keep records of the quantities of food used
6. Package take-out food
7. Portion and wrap foods
8. Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
9. Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
10. Stock refrigerators and salad bars
11. Take customers’ orders
12. Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
13. Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
14. Handle and store cleaning products
15. Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
16. Remove kitchen garbage and trash
17. Sharpen kitchen knives
18. Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
19. Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
