Job summary

First Nations Jobs Online is seeking a kitchen helper to support daily food preparation and service operations. You will wash, peel and prep vegetables, get equipment ready for cooking, and assist cooks during busy periods to ensure timely customer orders.

Responsibilities include cleaning tables, kitchen areas, stocking refrigerators, and handling dishwashing and waste disposal. This role involves multitasking in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, peel vegetables and other food items as and when required.
• Getting equipment ready for the preparation of food items and drinks.
• Clean tables and chairs in the sitting area.
• Broom and mop the kitchen area.
• Wash and clean and fill up work stations in the kitchen to be used for the preparation of customer orders.
• Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers.
• Unpacking and storing of kitchen supplies in refrigerator, cold storage and other storage areas as requested by the Kitchen Staff.
• Assist cook and kitchen staff during busy hours and help them bring raw food items to be prepared and used in orders.
• Set tables.
• Wash dishes, glassware, pots and pans using dishwasher or by hand.
• Place dishes in storage areas.
• Stock refrigerators.
