Job summary

Kids & Company in Calgary is hiring a part-time Kitchen Driver to support daily operations. You will load vans, follow routes for on-time deliveries, and maintain clean cargo spaces while upholding company standards.

A valid driver's license, 3+ years of driving or related experience, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs are required. Experience in a daycare setting is a plus and background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 26 years old for insurance purposes.
• 3+ years of driving or work-related experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Be prepared to submit information for a background check and may require a medical assessment.
• Excellent physical condition; able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in a daycare setting is an asset.

Salary Range: CA$19.00 To CA$19.00 Hourly

Location: Calgary,AB
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Reporting to the Head chef acts as an integral member of the Kids & Company team to assist in the flow of day-to-day kitchen operations through the conscientious application of Kids & Company standards to achieve our mission statement.

The Role

We want to work with people who are committed to going above and beyond in customer service. Those with a friendly, outgoing personality that is appropriate for a childcare center environment, as well as those with experience with children, will be given special consideration.

You will need to have a tidy appearance and respectful manners.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliveries

• Load vans according to delivery manifests; assist fellow drivers in the loading process
• Follow the route and schedule as stated to ensure on-time deliveries

Vehicle Maintenance and Cleaning

• Maintaining clean vehicle and cargo spaces daily
• Fleet preparation works as assigned
• Reporting issues or the appearance of warning lights immediately
• Every day, inspect functional lights and signals, as well as wear and tear

Delivery Equipment Returns

• Clean delivery bags and cambro equipment thoroughly
• Storing/organizing delivery equipment so that it is ready for use the next day

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 26 years of age (for insurance purposes)
• 3+ years of driving or work-related experience is preferred
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Successful candidates will be required to submit their information for a background check & may require a medical assessment
• Excellent physical condition: able to lift heavy loads (50+ lbs)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in a daycare setting would be an asset.
• Able to calmly assess problems and determine sensible solutions
