Job summary

Floors & Extras in Sudbury is seeking an experienced Kitchen Designer to join our team. This role can be full-time or part-time depending on the right candidate, and involves guiding customers through the design and sales process using 2020 Design/Cyncly.

You will meet with customers in our showroom and at their homes, create detailed layouts, take measurements, and help select cabinetry, finishes and accessories to fit budgets.

Qualifications

• Experience designing kitchens using 2020 Design/Cyncly software.
• Kitchen design experience is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to take accurate measurements.
• Comfortable meeting with customers in showroom and at their homes.
• Sales experience and ability to identify additional product opportunities.
• Organized and able to manage multiple customer projects.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers in our showroom to discuss plans and requirements.
• Create detailed kitchen designs and layouts using 2020 Design/Cyncly.
• Visit customers' homes to take accurate measurements.
• Provide design advice and optimize space for budget and needs.
• Recommend cabinetry, finishes and layouts based on customer needs.
• Prepare designs and quotes and follow projects from consultation to final order.
• Deliver high level of customer service throughout the process.
• Assist customers with other in-store products such as flooring.
• Collaborate with team to ensure projects are handled accurately.

What You’ll Do

You'll work closely with customers to understand what they're looking for and help them create a kitchen that works for their space, needs and budget.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Meeting with customers in our showroom to discuss their kitchen plans, ideas and requirements
• Creating detailed kitchen designs and layouts using 2020 Design/Cyncly software
• Visiting customers' homes to take accurate measurements
• Providing practical design advice and helping customers make the best use of their space
• Recommending cabinetry, finishes, layouts and other options based on the customer's needs and budget
• Preparing and reviewing designs and quotes with customers
• Following up with customers and helping move projects from the initial consultation through to the final order
• Providing a high level of customer service throughout the entire process
• Helping customers with other products we offer in-store when appropriate, including flooring and related renovation products
• Working closely with the rest of our team to ensure projects are handled accurately and professionally

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience with 2020 Design/Cyncly kitchen design software is required
• Previous kitchen design experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to take accurate measurements
• Comfortable meeting with customers both in the showroom and in their homes
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Able to listen to what a customer wants while also providing professional recommendations
• Comfortable with the sales side of the role and identifying opportunities to offer additional products when they make sense for the customer
• Organized and able to manage multiple customer projects at different stages
• Works well as part of a team
• Takes pride in their work and wants to deliver a great finished result for every customer

Previous retail or sales experience is an asset.
