Job summary

Cornerstone Kitchens and Closets Inc. in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Kitchen Cabinet Painting & Finishing Technician to apply paints and stains to cabinet surfaces according to specifications, and to ensure work meets quality and safety standards.

You will collaborate with teammates to complete projects on time, using airless or air spraying methods, while maintaining attention to detail and physical stamina to lift up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in cabinet and millwork painting/staining.
• Strong knowledge of colour theory.
• Familiarity with various painting methods, including airless and air spraying.
• Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
• Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and situational awareness of physical work environment.

Responsibilities

• Applying paints and stains using various methods to surfaces including doors and cabinet parts.
• Smoothing imperfections, touchup surfaces, and make minor repairs.
• Ensuring quality of paint application is suitable for assembly.
• Inspecting parts to ensure quality and uniformity can be attained.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards.
• Working in an organized and safe manner, adhering to safety program and relevant safety regulations.
