Job summary

A regional municipal district in Cold Lake is seeking a seasonal Kitchen Attendant to assist with food preparation and customer service. Responsibilities include preparing snacks, assisting with cooking tasks, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. The ideal candidate should possess strong customer service skills and be self-motivated. A Food Safety Certificate and ProServe Liquor course are considered assets. Qualifications

Job description
Overview

The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for the position of seasonal Kitchen Attendant. Successful candidates will be responsible for supporting and assisting with basic food preparation and customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in basic food preparation.
  • Prepare salads, sandwiches/wraps, pizzas, lunch programs. and baked goods.
  • Assist Cooks with basic prep needs.
  • Assist customers during the ordering process.
  • Deliver food to customers as required.
  • Clean kitchen prep areas and equipment whenever necessary.
  • Load/unload dishwasher and clean pots and pans.
  • Organize and store goods following FIFO.
  • Assist in the Snack Shack as required.
  • Assist with cleaning tables and garbage disposal.
  • Perform other related duties within the scope of the position as required.
Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service skills, with previous experience in a customer service role considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic math and computer POS skills.
  • ProServe Liquor course will be considered an asset.
  • Food Safety Certificate will be considered an asset (AHS or NFSTP).
  • Personable and positive attitude when dealing with customers.
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation, cleaning, and sanitization.
  • Self motivated and good time management skills.
  • Ability to take direction and follow task lists.
  • Courses related to safe food handling, first aid, and workplace hazardous materials will be considered an asset.
  • Obtain a Criminal Record Check.
  • Will be required to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Class 5 driver’s license will be considered an asset.
