Responsibilities

• Assist cooks, sous chef, and chef in providing high quality food to residents and for ensuring that all dishes are clean according to ware washing procedures.
• Ensure that the dining area tables and dining room is kept clean at all times.
• Ensure that dish machine temperatures are recorded, and that the water is tested to ensure the concentration of cleaning solution is correct.
• Assist with all catering functions.
• Liaise with immediate supervisor, to inform, consult, and problem-solve regarding any serious problems/concerns encountered in providing service.
• Ensure dish machine temperatures are checked and recorded on established forms.
• Ensure the food services area is kept clean according to Public Health standards.
• Ensure the surrounding area is kept clean and maintained according to procedures.
• Ensure all required information is exchanged between staff members during shift exchange.
