How You Will Make An Impact

Reporting to the Manager/Supervisor of the Kitchen Aide/Cook, you will make a difference in the lives of youth through your compassionate, hospitable, and non-judgmental manner. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Preparation, cooking, and clean-up of lunch and dinner meals for residents and non-residents at youth services locations.
  2. Unloading (some lifting required) and storing donations and food orders properly.
  3. Cleaning kitchen areas, including fridges and freezers.
  4. Observing health and safety rules in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.
What You'll Bring To Our Team

Applicants should understand issues like abuse, poverty, homelessness, mental illness, and addictions. Requirements include:

  • Minimum Grade 12 education with some kitchen aide/cooking experience.
  • Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values such as availability, flexibility, adaptability, hospitality, and dignity.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
