Qualifications

Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Provides daily supervision and support to clients to implement and progress exercise and stretching programs as well as work simulation programs.
  2. Responsible for day-to-day administrative duties involved in the operation of the programs.
  3. May liaise with the employer and the worker, conduct on-site Job Site Visits / Return to Work assessments.
  4. Confirms job demands, performs movement / functional screening, develops a structured Gradual Return to Work (GRTW) plan, and monitors the plan to facilitate successful outcomes.
  5. Within the appropriate programs, communicates with referral sources (rehabilitation consultants, case managers, etc.) as needed.
  6. Develops education schedules and arranges appointments with clients and team members.
  7. Participates in staff committees such as Health and Safety, File Review, and Professional Development.
  8. Engages in special projects as they arise.
  9. May provide education to community and professional organizations, and market existing programs and services.
  10. May mentor other Kinesiologists and supervise Kinesiology students.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK).
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Kinesiologist in a similar role and setting.
  • Ideally with OR2 experience.
  • Knowledge of psycho-social aspects of disability is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel within the lower mainland may be required.
