The successful candidate will posses the ability to perform ergonomic assessment, POET’s, work hardening and facilitating FCE’s. This position will provide the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of clinicians, as well as provide exposure to complex occupational rehab cases.

Location: 11601 101st Avenue, Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 3X9

Schedule:
Monday to Friday

Status: Full-time hours

Mandatory requirements:
Registration with the appropriate Provincial governing body for Kinesiologists is required

In this role you will:

  • Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist
  • Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs
  • Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing
  • Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
  • Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
  • Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients
  • Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge
  • Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart


Qualifications:

  • Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program
  • 2+ years of experience considered an asset
  • Registration with the appropriate Provincial governing body for Kinesiologists is required
