Job Details

Job Title: Kinesiologist

Location: Burnaby

Start: September 2025 with a minimum of 2 days per week. Clinic hours are opened Monday to Friday 7am-7pm with reduced hours on Saturdays.

Compensation: 50% fee split approx $60 / hour

Job Description

Kinesiology consists of private pay kinesiology / personal training and ICBC covered Kinesiology. Referrals can come through our medical and allied clinics in addition to the community. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of patients exercise prescription programs. A broad range of clients will be received with varying functional capacity disability comorbidities and injury history (ex. MVA sport concussion peri-surgical). You will be working closely with our medical and allied health teams.

Qualifications

• A minimum requirement of a bachelor\'s degree in Kinesiology or related field (Human Kinetics Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science)
• Registered with BCAK
• Commercial liability and 2 million dollars of personal liability insurance
• CPR certification is up to date
• Personal / group training experience for at least 2 years
• You are personally engaging in sport recreation and resistance training and are familiar with using barbells and dumbbells functional testing and exercise programming
• Assets
• Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or related certifications
• Other specialized movement training (ie. Pilates Somatic Therapy etc.)
• Chronic pain experience is a great asset but not required. You will be provided mentorship if needed
