KINDERGARTEN EDUCATION ASSISTANT - St. Patrick Fine Arts School

This position is open to all internal and external candidates. Prior to employment, successful applicants must provide supporting documents as outlined on our New Employees page.

We are seeking to hire a part-time Kindergarten Education Assistant at St. Patrick Fine Arts School in Lethbridge. The position is for 28 hours per week, starting September 8, 2025, and ending June 11, 2026. This position is covered by the CUPE 1825 collective agreement. Please quote Posting #.

Candidates must possess or be willing to gain the following skills:

• Hanen Learning Language and Loving It Certification
• At least one year of experience working in a childhood program and/or with children with special needs
• Experience working proactively with positive intervention for children's behaviors
• Ability to provide supports and cues for sound production as directed by the Speech Language Pathologist
• Ability to match activities and model appropriate behaviors at the child's functioning level
• Current or willingness to obtain First Aid Training
• Willingness to assist with toileting and daily living skills as needed
• Ability to work effectively within a trans-disciplinary team based on the child's needs
• Ability to take direction from the professional team
• Physical ability to engage and participate in an active Early Childhood Services (ECS) environment
