Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Registered with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario.
  • Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program.
  • Preferably, with 1-3 years of work experience specializing in Occupational Rehabilitation and Functional Assessment, an asset.
  • New Graduates licensed as Kinesiologists are welcome to apply.


Key Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist.
  • Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning, and work hardening programs.
  • Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing.
  • Record functional and subjective findings in client charts regularly.
  • Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals.
  • Conducted group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education for clients.
  • Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge.
  • Ensure return-to-work plans with the client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart.
