Placements24 is seeking an Agricultural Surveyor to perform on-site land measurement and mapping for agricultural planning, irrigation design, and farm infrastructure projects in Kimberley. The role requires independence in diverse field conditions and proficiency with modern surveying tools.

Applicants should have a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying/Geomatics or related field, 3+ years of surveying experience, and acceptance of travel within the Northern Cape region.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional registration as a Land Surveyor or eligible for registration is desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years of land surveying experience, preferably in agricultural contexts.
• Proficiency with total stations, GPS, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Northern Cape region.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic surveys of agricultural land using advanced surveying equipment.
• Prepare maps and plans showing contours, boundaries, and features.
• Perform boundary surveys and resolve land disputes as required.
• Collect data for irrigation and farm infrastructure design.
• Utilise GPS and geospatial technologies for accurate data collection.
• Analyze survey data and prepare client reports.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with agronomists, engineers, and farm managers to provide survey advice.
• Maintain survey equipment and calibration.
• Assist in land use planning and agricultural development assessments.
