Pedalheads in Burnaby and Vancouver-area locations seeks enthusiastic youth activity leaders to run high-energy, story-driven sessions for ages 2–8. You’ll combine improv, theatre, and movement to teach early sports fundamentals while keeping safety and fun at the forefront.
Previous experience with children through theatre, mascots, camp, or preschool entertainment is a plus. Weekend mornings are primary; CPR-C and background checks may be required, with opportunities for added weekday shifts.
At Pedalheads, we believe active play should feel like an adventure. We are a fast-growing leader in children’s programming across North America, teaching fundamental skills, building confidence, and igniting a sense of wonder in young kids. We offer high-quality bike, swim, and sports programs alongside a generous bursary and annual social-giving program to support our local communities.
Are you a natural performer who loves making kids laugh, smile, and move? Whether you have a background in improv, children’s theatre, mascot/character performing, camp counseling, or preschool entertainment, we are looking for larger-than-life personalities to lead our high-energy youth soccer and activity classes for kids ages 2 to 8!
No soccer coaching background? No problem. We believe it’s much easier to teach basic soccer drills to an amazing performer than it is to teach enthusiasm to a serious sports coach. If you can command a crowd of 4-year-olds, lead a sing-along, adapt on the fly, adopt funny character voices, and make a total fool of yourself to keep kids captivated, we will teach you all the soccer and program basics you need.
Think of this role like being part improv artist, children’s entertainer, and activity host. You will use story-driven games, songs, and wild imagination to make early sports fundamentals completely unforgettable.
Pedalheads is committed to creating and upholding a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment that is respectful and welcoming to everyone. We believe that our programs are enriched by the presence of many voices from a variety of racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds, political beliefs, ages, sexual identities and orientations, socio-economic backgrounds, and physical and cognitive abilities.
We welcome applications from individuals of all identities and backgrounds. If you face any barriers to employment or require financial assistance or other accommodation during the recruitment and/or employment process, please feel free to contact the People and Culture team in confidence.
