About the Role

Based out of our Value Buds Gordon St location in Guelph, ON, we are looking for experienced Keyholders who can handle curveballs like a champ. They will be responsible for ensuring the store is in top shape, becoming experts in cannabis, and sharing their knowledge with customers. We seek go-getters who love meeting new people, cultivating relationships, and are eager to learn about this industry.

Role and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Customer Offering

  • Greet customers upon entrance; engage in conversation to understand their needs.
  • Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere in the store.
  • Educate customers about cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods.

Day-to-Day Operations

  • Participate in merchandising and promotional activities to promote our culture and brand.
  • Work with Store Managers and team members to generate sales.
  • Maintain high product and service knowledge; stay updated with industry legislation, trends, and new products.
  • Participate in store maintenance and ensure cleanliness.
  • Process customer transactions on the POS system, following cash handling and Loss Prevention procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and restock products regularly.

Regulatory Adherence

  • Comply with all OH&S policies and procedures.
  • Support Nova Cannabis and AGCO social responsibility programs.
  • Follow Nova Cannabis policies, SOPs, and practices.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of retail and/or hospitality experience.
  • Cannabis, liquor, or healthcare experience is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid CannSell certification.
  • Must pass a Criminal Record Check.
  • Working knowledge of Ontario cannabis sales regulations.
