Job summary

La Vie en Rose Inc. is seeking a part-time sales associate in Montreal to advise customers and maximize sales potential. You will open/close the store and provide a warm welcome, guiding customers through products and features while offering fitting room assistance and top picks.

The role requires proactive service, attention to detail, and a willingness to work holidays and longer hours during peak periods. Training supports goal achievement and growth within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in fashion/retail selling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a warm welcome and assist with product selection.
• Explain products' quality, materials and features, and suggest additional items.
• Be available in fitting rooms to assist customers.
• Meet and exceed personal sales goals with training support.
• Manage the sales floor when managers are away.
• Prepare and place products on the floor for a memorable shopping experience.
• Keep store and backstore clean and organized.
• Identify top picks and share recommendations with customers.
• Escort customers to the cash register and process transactions.
• Follow head office policies and procedures.

Under the supervision of the store management team, you will be responsible for advising customers to maximize sales potential as well as opening and closing the store. To perform your job well, you will need to:

• Provide customers with a warm welcome;
• Help them find everything they’re looking for—answer their questions, explain the products (quality, materials, technical features) and suggest other products they might like;
• Make yourself available when customers are in the fitting room;
• Meet and exceed your personal sales goals (our training will help you get there!);
• Manage the sales floor when your managers aren’t there;
• Prepare, identify and place products on the sales floor to provide a memorable shopping experience;
• Ensure everything is clean and tidy in the store and backstore;
• Be on the lookout for new products so you can share your top picks with your customers;
• Accompany customers to the cash register and process their transactions;
• Respect and apply the policies and procedures of the various head office departments (don’t worry, we’ll explain everything to you!);
• Perform other duties where needed to support the team.
