Job summary

Bikini Village Inc. in Edmonton is seeking a motivated sales associate to join our fashion team. You will help customers find styles that celebrate feel-good femininity, deliver warm service, and contribute to a busy, vibrant store environment.

• Previous sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a warm welcome and assist with finding products.
• Answer questions, explain products, and suggest other items.
• Be available in fitting rooms and assist customers as needed.
• Meet and exceed personal sales goals with training support.
• Manage the sales floor when managers aren’t present.
• Prepare and place products on the sales floor for a great shopping experience.
• Ensure the store and backroom are clean and tidy.
• Process transactions at the cash register.
• Adhere to head office policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties to support the team.

What a typical workday looks like

Under the supervision of the store management team, you will be responsible for advising customers to maximize sales potential as well as opening and closing the store. To perform your job well, you will need to:

Provide customers with a warm welcome;

• Help them find everything they’re looking for—answer their questions, explain the products (quality, materials, technical features) and suggest other products they might like;
• Make yourself available when customers are in the fitting room;
• Meet and exceed your personal sales goals (our training will help you get there!);
• Manage the sales floor when your managers aren’t there;
• Prepare, identify and place products on the sales floor to provide a memorable shopping experience;
• Ensure everything is clean and tidy in the store and backstore;
• Be on the lookout for new products so you can share your top picks with your customers;
• Accompany customers to the cash register and process their transactions;
• Respect and apply the policies and procedures of the various head office departments (don’t worry, we’ll explain everything to you!);
• Perform other duties where needed to support the team.
