JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Head of Metro, Sobeys, Mckesson, and Familiprix Beauty & Wellbeing, Personal Care, and Health & Wellbeing, this position is responsible for the execution and communication of the customer plan for Hair Care, Skin Care, Personal Wash, Deodorant, Hydration, and Vitamins. This includes trade investment management and application, aiming for consistent, competitive, profitable, and sustainable growth for Sobeys. Key Account Managers work closely with cross-functional teams including Customer Strategy and Planning, Finance, Customer Service, Net Revenue Management, Category Management, and Customer Analytics to establish best practices and unlock opportunities to meet sales and profit targets.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Maximize sales results through effective sales and marketing strategies, negotiate trade promotions, and manage budgets efficiently to meet targets.
  • Lead and participate in the company's Annual Planning process, including forecast ownership.
  • Co-develop the shared Joint Business Plan with Sobeys.
  • Manage the total customer interface to ensure ongoing development and profitable growth.
  • Utilize and manage trade spending within agreed parameters to support Unilever’s objectives.
  • Formulate plans for listings, retail pricing, distribution, shelf positioning, and inventory levels.
  • Evaluate customer tactics and plan implementations to improve future performance.
  • Maintain excellent trade relations and support for our brands through effective execution of brand strategy.
  • Manage and coach one direct report (Account Coordinator).

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Proven leadership and strategic planning abilities, with strong financial and analytical skills (Nielsen, Customer, and Shopper data).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum 2 years of account development and trade/consumer marketing experience within mass merchandise, club, grocery, or drug trade.
  • Reside within a commutable distance to Montreal.
