Job Description summary
TheKey Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for the sales development of Bel’s core brands at all assigned customer accounts. The KAM will function as the company’s primary representative and have full autonomy and accountability for sales volume and profitability for all assigned customer account(s).
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Maximize assortment, pricing, promotions, and shelf presence to achieve budgeted sales growth
- Manage the trade budget to achieve budgeted sales volume and profitability of all brands / products
- Negotiate category agreements, conduct category reviews, and develop financial proposals
- Report on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of account(s)
- Make account specific recommendations for assigned account(s)
- Oversee and provide clear direction and oversight of the Company’s sales and marketing activities
- Lead appointments in presenting new items and marketing programs for all brands
- Align customer’s objectives with company’s vision and goals, both short-term and long-term
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, internally, externally, and to bring Innovation to market from the idea inception to shelf placement
- Update Management on key information regarding assigned account(s) and seek to communicate relevant data to cross-functional partners within the organization
- Identify opportunities for greater business efficiency and effectiveness across all components of the assigned account(s)
- Manage all forecasts and promotions directly within company trade tool (XTEL)
- Communicate promotional volume and incremental demand to the Demand Planning team
- Communicate customer activities and priorities to Field Sales teams
- Validate customer deductions and work with Finance team for invalid claims
Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree and / or equivalent work experience requiredMinimum 5 years’ food sales experienceProven ability to execute an effective marketing & sales strategy; can analyze the competitive landscape, define a course of action and meet the needs of Bel and the customerAbility to forecast and communicate weekly volume and spending informationSolid working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint required, along with the ability to understand / analyze syndicated dataPersuasive and influential sales communication skills; understands audience and adjusts communication to drive desired resultsShould be a highly motivated and organized self-starter who strives for excellence and thrives in an independent work environment; should also possess strong planning skills and be disciplined in time managementMust be a solid strategic thinker who can decisively prioritize competing demands and assess multiple outcomes with limited informationMust possess a presence that fosters positive interactions within all levels of the organizationShould have business maturity, impeccable personal integrity and be committed to ongoing individual professional developmentMust have excellent attention to detail and communication skillsLanguage skills : fluent in English, with French being an assetHYBRID WORK
