Full-time permanent position, 35 hours, Monday to Friday

The Key Account Manager - Ontario is responsible for optimizing the sales and margins of the accounts under his/her responsibility and maximizing development potential, including the acquisition of new accounts. Additionally, he/she is responsible for the follow-up and execution of the sales plan, participates in strategy development, and assists the VP Sales & Marketing according to departmental needs.

Overview of your responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the development of accounts by meeting and exceeding sales targets aligned with strategic goals.
  2. Negotiate advantageous commercial agreements, identify business potential, and address stock shortages collaboratively.
  3. Develop customer-specific sales and marketing strategies to promote sales growth and optimize investments.
  4. Respond to calls for tender, maintain KPIs, analyze sales and market trends to identify opportunities.
  5. Create and analyze reports to highlight business opportunities and organize meetings to leverage these opportunities.
  6. Communicate clearly and effectively with customers.
  7. Collaborate with the VP to prepare new product quotes and price lists.
  8. Monitor market trends, competitors, and consumer behaviors to stay informed and competitive.
  9. Take initiative by proposing industry-leading plans and suggestions to achieve higher goals.
  10. Organize time and efforts strategically, prioritize tasks, and maintain follow-up mechanisms.
  11. Develop technical expertise, understand internal processes of accounts, and participate in new product development.
  12. Negotiate collaboratively, leading to reasoned solutions with medium- to long-term commitments.

You have:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
  2. Team player with a collaborative spirit.
  3. Valid driver's license.
  4. Ability to operate various technological systems and tools.
  5. Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in major account management, preferably in the agri-food industry.
  6. Knowledge of the Canadian retail market is an asset.
