As a Key Account Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Key Account Manager with large private accounts in driving business growth and enhancing the efficiency of key client accounts. This position requires strong analytical, communication skills, attention to detail, customer focus and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and to provide insights into overall business performance and opportunities.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Work closely with the Key Account Manager to understand the needs and goals of the key client account as well as to analyze customer purchasing patterns and consumption trends.

  • Support Field based Sales team with proper inventory management and forecasting as well as order management to ensure proper supply for Key Accounts.

  • Provide insights to assist in developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and revenue with these accounts.

  • Maintain regular communication with Sales team throughout the regions to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure messaging and strategy is cohesive.

  • Coordinate with internal teams such as marketing, technical service, and customer service to deliver exceptional service and support to key accounts.

  • Partner with and support Key Account Manager to prepare and deliver presentations or proposals.

  • Monitor and analyze sales data and performance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Identify opportunities for streamlining processes and improving efficiency in customer transactions.

  • Conduct research to determine opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding our offerings to meet client needs.

  • Conduct regular reviews of inventory levels and product availability to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.

  • Assist in managing equipment orders for key accounts, including tracking shipments, coordinating deliveries, and resolving any issues or delays.

  • Serve as a liaison between key accounts and internal departments to facilitate smooth communication and problem resolution.

  • Monitor key performance indicators related to customer satisfaction, order accuracy, and on-time delivery, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Participate in regular meetings with Key Account Manager and other collaborators to review account performance, discuss strategies, and prioritize initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3-5 years of related industry experience

  • English Fluency (verbal and written) mandatory; Bilingual Preferred (English/French)

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Experience reviewing and drafting contracts and other agreements

  • Strong Project management skills

  • Strong learning agility, with the ability to quickly adapt to new softwares, systems, or other tools

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of ophthalmic industry preferred
