The Salvation Army in Grande Prairie is seeking a Kettle Coordinator II for a short-term contract during the holiday season. You will oversee multiple kettle locations, train volunteers, ensure secure collections, and report daily on performance and issues.

  • Some high school coursework; completion of high school is asset.
  • One year of related experience or working in customer service.
  • Money handling experience is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to lift 9 to 12 kgs (20–25 lbs).

  • Attend training/orientation on The Salvation Army and the Kettle Campaign.
  • Provide support in getting kettles to zone locations prior to volunteer arrival.
  • Ensure all kettle donations are delivered to secure locations at shift end.
  • Communicate daily issues and supply deficiencies to City/Assistant Coordinator.
  • Supervise and support kettle volunteers.
  • Recruit new volunteers for the campaign.
  • Visit locations during shift changes and monitor operations.
  • Ensure timesheets and mileage reports are submitted weekly.
  • Remain at the kettle for the full shift and maintain donation security.
  • Respond to donor questions about SA ministries and programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The incumbent is responsible for oversight of several Christmas Kettle locations in a given geographical zone area.
