What role you will play in our team

Are you motivated to join Imperial as an Engineering Student? If you are passionate about safety, building positive relationships, and working within a strong team environment, then we have the role for you! We currently have an opportunity within our Kearl Operations Technical team.

What you will do
  • Technical site support for day-to-day unit issues, opportunities identification, and short-term engineering initiatives
  • Day-to-day investigation and alleviation of unit constraints
  • Provide technical support for production downtime or process safety events
  • Design, specify, deploy, and sustain facilities designs leveraging MOC processes and Kearl’s design practices/tools
  • Support plant turnaround and outage scope, respond to RFIs and provide alternate solutions
  • Collaborate with key Business Team stakeholders (Operations, Maintenance, Reliability and Technical)
About you

Skills and Qualifications

  • Enrolled in at least 3rd year of mechanical, chemical, industrial, or similar engineering undergraduate university program
  • Occasional trips the Kearl Mine Site, including overnight stays in camp, will be required

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

  • Able to work individually, as well as in a team situation, with minimal supervision

Work term: 8,12,16 Months
