Job summary

KDM Constructors is seeking a janitorial professional for the BHP Mine Site in Jansen, SK. The role reports to the Janitorial Lead and is camp-based, with a 7/7 rotating day/night schedule on 12-hour shifts, with potential overtime.

You will perform general cleaning, manage supplies, and maintain exterior areas while prioritizing safety and attention to detail in a remote mine camp environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work early morning or late night shifts.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds on a daily basis.
• Actively walk and stand for extended periods of time, averaging 15,000 steps per day.
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision, capacity to take direction.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Promote a healthy and positive safe working environment for the project by showing effective leadership and participation in safety related matters.
• Perform general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed.
• Maintain exterior areas, green space and parking lot.
• Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders.
• Control of inventory of consumables.
• Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up.
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.

Job description

Position

Reporting to the Janitorial Lead, you will be responsible for a variety of janitorial functions.

This position will be based on a 7/7 rotating day/night shift schedule, 12 hours/day; however, the candidate must be willing to work overtime when needed.

This position will be located at BHP Mine Site - Jansen, SK. This is a camp-based position. Jansen Discovery Lodge at BHP is a state-of-the-art camp that includes the following: full-service cafeteria, housekeeping, gym with a raised running track, library, and theatre.

Job Duties
