Job summary

The City of Markham is seeking a dynamic K-Pop program leader for Angus Glen Community Centre. You will plan, instruct and supervise sessions for participants from children through adults, ensuring a positive, safe environment.

Responsibilities include creating weekly lesson plans, managing equipment, tracking attendance, and coordinating volunteers. Strong communication and safety training are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Related training in youth programs or recreation is an asset.
• Current certifications in First Aid OR CPR C with AED recommended.
• High Five Certificate and adherence to Healthy Child Development principles.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates, leads and supervises the K-Pop program.
• Develops and writes lesson plans for each group and submits them for review.
• Prepares equipment, maintains inventory and reports shortages.
• Keeps attendance and communicates with Program Coordinator about absences.
• Ensures participant safety and enforces safety policies at all times.
• Engages with parents when needed and guides volunteers.
• Assists in coordinating volunteers and program assistants as required.
