Our headquarters is in sunny Sydney Australia but our team spans the globe. Since we dont have a physical campus in Canada this role is fully remotegiving you the flexibility to do your best work from wherever you thrive.

What youd be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think thats all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things youll be working on when you start but this will likely evolve.

At the moment this role is focused on :

  • Owning the school district / school board lifecycle . Youll own strategy prospecting planning onboarding execution and results within identified districts and boards.
  • Fostering relationships with district / board administration. Youll be responsible for managing the relationships with the key stakeholders and decisionmakers at districts and boards and getting them what they need be it technical documentation and support onboarding help teacher development resources Canva tips and tricks and strategic guidance
  • Serving as an ambassador of Canva for Education with teachers and educators at managed districts and boards.
  • Providing value to customers and to Canva. Youll run a healthy and predictable business that delivers a jointly agreed customer transformation strategy focused on educational outcomes within districts and boards.
  • Understanding the Canva user lifecycle . Youll establish close relationships with our passionate community of educators and learners to know firsthand what they need to become successful Canva users.
  • Identifying trends and usage patterns . Youll utilize data analysis to shape your strategic approach to sales and account management and to note emerging trends to share with Canvas Sales & Success Product and Marketing teams.
  • Driving retention and engagement . Youll continuously test learn and iterate on our lifecycle strategy at our identified districts and boards to build meaningful and impactful relationships.

Youre probably a match if you have;

  • Experience with the Canadian K12 Education Market. You understand classroom efficiency solutions and are able to communicate with instructional technology specialists and teachers on how Canva can improve student learning outcomes through design and collaboration.
  • Customer Success Expertise . You are comfortable driving retention and fostering engagement with software solutions at a district level.
  • Excellent Collaboration skills. You enjoy working alongside your direct team as well as with crossfunctional teams.
  • Experience with Implementing new Technologies . You have a deep understanding of how schools roll out new technologies and how districtwide deployments are most effective.
  • Effective Communication skills . You create clarity through your communication by making complex things simple. You can confidently present your ideas and tell a compelling story to customers and the broader team.
  • Strong Business Planning Skills . You have the ability to move from planning all the way through to implementation and complete projects that deliver high impact.
  • Experience in Community Management. You understand social media standard processes and tactics for educating audiences.
  • Growth Mindset. Youre eager to learn and develop your skills whilst having fun along the way!
  • Fluent in written and spoken French . You are comfortable interacting in a business context in Canadian French in order to support the portion of your book of business that prefers to communicate in this language.

About the team

A K12 District Engagement Advocate at Canva is a key member of our team who is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with K12 schools and districts across North America. They are passionate about education and have a deep understanding of the needs of K12 educators.

Our District Engagement Advocates work closely with school board and district leaders to help them understand the benefits of using Canvas educational tools and resources. They provide guidance and support to educators as they integrate Canva into their curriculums and lesson plans and they offer ongoing training to ensure that educators are getting the most out of our platform.

Above all our District Engagement Advocates are committed to making a difference in the lives of K12 students and how they learn the futurefocused skills they will need to thrive in the 21st century. They are dedicated to helping educators create engaging and dynamic learning experiences that inspire and motivate students to succeed.
