The Role:

We are seeking a Junior Visual Merchandiser for our upcoming Woodgrove Centre location in Nanaimo, BC. In this role, you will support the store visually by creating engaging product displays that reflect current fashion trends. Your responsibilities include designing window and in-store displays, maximizing store profitability through visual concepts, and ensuring JD standards are maintained throughout the store.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Follow weekly visual merchandising briefs and implement them in-store.
2. Attract and motivate customers using advanced visual techniques to encourage purchases.
3. Regularly update mannequins, displays, and windows according to seasons and retail events.
4. Set up and monitor in-store promotions using POS materials.
5. Analyze Oracle sales data to optimize product placement and store layout.
6. Provide training and support to team members on merchandising and displays.
7. Participate in weekly development activities to prepare for future roles.
8. Communicate and provide feedback to the Town Merchandiser regarding visual merchandising activities.
9. Maintain a professional attitude, leading by example.
10. Work safely and responsibly at all times.
11. Uphold high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and store maintenance.

Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:

• Minimum of six months retail experience.
• Visual Merchandising experience is an asset.
• Openness to feedback and a willingness to learn.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Creative, imaginative, and capable of coordinating product flow effectively.
