Job summary

Government Services Integration Cluster is seeking a Junior UX Designer for an onsite role in Toronto, ON. You will create intuitive interfaces, participate in user research, and support the design of digital displays, publications, and media.

You will work closely with product teams, iterate based on user feedback, and help translate insights into wireframes, prototypes, and journey maps. Familiarity with Figma or similar tools is preferred.

Qualifications

Experience creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance.
Experience as a UX/UI designer for web and mobile applications.
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools.
Understanding of web development limitations and their appropriate use.
Experience conducting user research and translating insights into sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes.
Ability to lead UX projects and design workshops with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Create effective, user friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
Design the overall functionality of the product to ensure a great user experience and iterate based on user testing.
Design interfaces for digital displays, publications, media, and other materials as required.
Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs.
Conceive and conduct user research, interviews and surveys, translating findings into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes.
