Job summary

Compugen Inc is seeking a UNIX Midrange Support specialist for an onsite 12-month contract in Regina, SK. The role focuses on Linux/AIX server configuration, UNIX/Linux support, and incident resolution in a production environment.

You will monitor performance, manage capacity, perform patching and backups, document procedures, and work with minimal supervision. Preferred experience includes Veritas NetBackup, IBM SVC, NetApp, and Red Hat Linux, with ITIL Foundation certification.

Qualifications

• Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
• ItIL Foundation or Service Manager certification is preferred.

Position Overview

Must-Have Experience

• SAN/NAS storage , particularly IBM SVC and NetApp
• Azure Linux host and storage
• Veritas NetBackup
• AIX LPAR administration
• Red Hat Linux
• Nagios or comparable enterprise monitoring tools
• Oracle environments running on UNIX/AIX
• High availability and disaster recovery
• Enterprise infrastructure change management
• ITIL-based incident and problem management

Education / Certifications

A Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree, or equivalent experience, is preferred. ITIL Foundation or Service Manager certification is also identified in the Position Catalogue.
