SRK Consulting, an independent international mining and metals advisory, invites a Junior to Intermediate Geologist to join our Toronto office in Ontario. The role offers exposure to diverse exploration and mining projects for North American and international clients, with office- or field-based assignments.

The successful candidate will apply geological knowledge to data analysis, reporting, and modelling, with opportunities to develop technical skills and to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in geology or related field.
• Up to 5 years of practical operational and/or exploration experience.
• Geological modelling skills are an asset.
• Strong theoretical background with demonstrated competence in practical outcomes.
• Ability to independently or as part of a team generate, implement and complete multiple work assignments in a dynamic environment.
• Effective written and oral communication skills; and eligible for professional registration.

We are seeking a Junior to Intermediate Geologist.

Description of Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Junior to Intermediate Geologist to be based in our office in Toronto , Ontario .

Our geology group in Toronto is one of the largest in SRK North America, with a diverse cross-section of structural geologists, resource geologists, geostatisticians and mining engineers.

The successful candidate will provide technical support and focussed consulting advice on exploration/mining projects for North American and international clients. Team-orientated assignments may be either office or field-based. Office assignments will include, but are not limited to, data analysis, technical interpretation, numerical assessment and report writing. Field assignments may include data verification, field mapping and other activities required to confirm reporting data. There will be an opportunity and expectation to continuously develop your technical skills and industry knowledge to further assist the Toronto team.

Essential Requirements:

• A minimum of an undergraduate degree in geology or related field;


• Up to 5 years of practical operational and/or exploration experience;


• Geological modelling skills an asset;


• A strong theoretical background, with demonstrated competence in realizing practical outcomes;


• Proven ability to independently (or as part of a team) generate, implement and complete multiple work assignments in a dynamic environment;


• Effective written and oral communication skills; and,


• Registered or eligible for professional registration.

This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects and may include local and international travel.

The estimated base pay range for this position is $80,000–$110,000+.The salary offered will be commensurate with relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.
