Job Description

We are a passionate team ensuring our systems work as specified to transform the Canadian Army’s experiences. We are seeking a Junior Systems Engineering Analyst to join our Tactical Systems Integration Lab Support Team, focusing on system testing and integration before product deployment.

As part of the team, you will:

1. Conduct test planning, definition, reporting, and support lab setup and configuration.
2. Perform integration activities, develop and deliver customer-facing test proposals and plans.
3. Engage with customer representatives, vendors, and department staff during development, planning, and testing phases.
4. Develop integration and test procedures, including configuration descriptions and expected outcomes.
5. Plan, build, configure, and validate testing operations, including network configuration.
6. Investigate issues during testing and field exercises, participate in elicitation, and prepare requirements documents.
7. Support external test events, field trials, and write technical reports.

Qualifications

1. 1+ year experience in a related role or field (internship considered).
2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related scientific discipline.
3. Knowledge of system issue investigation, analysis, and resolution; understanding subsystem interactions.
4. Familiarity with requirements lifecycle, systems engineering practices, and testing.
5. Experience with verification, validation, or testing.

Assets include:

• Knowledge of Canadian Armed Forces structure & concepts.
• Networking concepts and protocols such as DSCP, VLANs, RIP, PIM, Ethernet.
• Programming or scripting languages like Python, Java, C#, Bash.
• Tools like Robot Framework, AutoHotKey, Wireshark, CORE.
• Experience with defect tracking systems.
• Familiarity with UHF/VHF radios, modulation schemes, and voice/data networks.
