This role is based out of Halifax, NS.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Utilize appropriate surveyor equipment, software and systems to efficiently perform duties.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Perform accurate layout work.
  • Coordinate surveying activities with the assigned engineer to meet the construction requirements.
  • Support and promote the company’s Quality Assurance and HSE Program.
  • Other duties as required.
What We Are Looking For
  • A minimum of 3 years experience working in a heavy civil/commercial construction environment.
  • An understanding of surveying principles, practices, and procedures of land surveying and can accurately interpret, read and calculate construction drawings and apply them in the field.
  • A solid understanding of surveying equipment including GPS, total stations and data collectors.
  • A strong knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in working in a unionized environment and within terms of a collective agreement(s).
  • Knowledge of standard Healthy, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and practices in the construction industry.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • FI-FO available and Camp accommodations.
