Job summary

Power Staffing Solutions is seeking a Junior Space Planner to join a dynamic retail team. You will support the development and optimization of planograms to improve product placement, store execution, and customer experience.

You'll work with Senior Space Planners and cross-functional teams, using Excel and retail data to analyze performance and help resolve planning and execution issues. This role offers growth opportunities in space planning and merchandising.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business, Retail, Merchandising, Analytics, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in retail, merchandising, space planning, or related environment.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data.
• Exposure to JDA Space Planning or planogram software is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain planograms using JDA Space Planning software.
• Use Excel and retail data to analyze sales, inventory, assortment, and profitability.
• Adapt merchandise layouts based on store size, bay counts, fixtures, and assortment requirements.
• Perform quality checks to ensure planograms and store data are accurate.
• Support Senior Space Planners with analysis, reporting, presentations, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Analytics, and Store Operations teams to resolve planning and execution issues.
• Assist with pre-walks, in-store issues, fixture layouts, and special projects.
• Contribute to process improvements and other Space Planning initiatives.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Junior Space Planner to join a dynamic retail team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Excel skills, an analytical mindset, and an interest in retail merchandising and space planning to grow their career.

Working alongside Senior Space Planners and cross-functional teams, you’ll support the development and optimization of planograms (POGs) that help improve product placement, store execution, sales, and customer experience.
