As the Junior Sous Chef, You Will
  1. Be responsible for maintaining food quality, consistency, and excellence in food preparation and storage.
  2. Demonstrate and communicate the MHG vision to all team members and lead by example.
  3. Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in ordering inventory and daily prep work.
  4. Foster a positive atmosphere and promote a kitchen culture that revolves around the enjoyment of cooking, food, and working as a team.
  5. Perform all back-of-house crew duties as needed, including prep, supporting work, working all line stations, and expediting dishes.
  6. Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the menu development process.
Who You Are
  1. A passion for the culinary experience and the food service industry.
  2. The ability to take direction and work calmly under pressure.
  3. Must work well with others and enjoy teaching team members.
  4. A desire for personal and professional development.
What You Bring
  1. Applicants must have 2+ years of experience cooking in a full-service high-volume restaurant.
  2. A culinary diploma or degree is considered an asset.
  3. Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends, evenings, and mornings.
