Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Backend Software Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn from senior engineers and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge enterprise cloud platform. You will work on well-defined tasks, writing clean code, fixing bugs, and gaining hands-on experience with our modern tech stack. This is the ideal position for a passionate engineer seeking to establish a solid foundation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of new features for our backend services under the guidance of senior team members.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in Java, Python, and TypeScript.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues and bugs in our production environment.
• Actively participate in code reviews, team meetings, and Agile ceremonies to learn best practices and contribute to team goals.
• Gain exposure to different layers of our application, including backend services, databases, cloud infrastructure, and front-end components.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-3 years of software development experience, preferably within an enterprise software environment.
• Core Programming: A foundational understanding of Java, object-oriented language, and design patterns.
• CS Fundamentals: Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and basic database concepts.
• Cloud Exposure: Familiarity with cloud computing concepts; some exposure to a major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is required.
• Databases: Basic knowledge of relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Eagerness to Learn: A strong desire to learn new technologies and a passion for solving problems with code.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with front-end technologies like ReactJS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and version control (Git).
• Exposure to containerization concepts (Kubernetes).

Salary Range: $65,000 - $74,000 with an annual target bonus.
