Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Recruiter to support their talent acquisition efforts across a variety of departments, including sales, operations, warehouse, and yard. The ideal candidate will assist in managing job postings, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, and helping ensure a smooth and positive recruitment process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support full-cycle recruitment for entry- and mid-level roles in sales, yard, and administrative teams
- Create and post job descriptions on various platforms and company channels
- Proactively source and engage candidates through job boards, social media, and direct outreach
- Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate fit
- Coordinate interview scheduling with hiring managers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate information in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Represent the company brand professionally at job fairs and recruitment events
- Assist with onboarding and orientation support for new hires
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 1–2 years of experience in recruitment or HR support (internships or co-op placements considered)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience using ATS platforms and sourcing tools is an asset
- Interest in or knowledge of the building materials or construction industry is a plus
